Returning to Impact Staff

I was so grateful for my experience with virtual Impact last summer and I loved it so much that I am back again this summer! I cannot wait to be able to see people (in person instead of through a computer screen!!) and be able to share and learn about the word of God through mission work. I have never attended Impact in person before, so I am sure this will be yet another amazing experience! I will be so happy to see everyone’s faces and get to know everyone more through our walk with Christ.

Last summer I was so excited to be in person when Covid-19 hit and changed our original plans of being in person with you all. Since I had never been to Impact as a camper or staff member, I was pretty disappointed about not being in person. However, God proved that even in those challenging times, we still found ways to interact with campers and spread His word whether it was through daily devotionals on Instagram and Facebook, or through our many TikToks we created over the summer. Our theme last year was Better Together and these challenging times of being in quarantine has definitely made me realize that being together is so important in doing God’s work. I am excited about our new theme this year which is “RE:Created.” I believe this is a great way to think of how our time during this past year has allowed us to realize that God has been using this time to refresh our minds and renew our spirits to better serve Him.

I am truly blessed to be able to participate in Impact again this summer and I am even more blessed to be able to share my personal walk with Christ with you all. This pandemic has changed all of our lives and I am so incredibly thankful that we are working diligently to be able to provide a camp in person that is safe and enjoyable for everyone. Being able participate at

Impact is truly a blessing and I am so excited to meet everyone and continue our journey with Christ together!

Does any of this sound familiar? -I’ve never bee Does any of this sound familiar?
-I’ve never been more tired, and I’ve never felt closer to God.
-I went there expecting to bless others, but I ended up receiving more than I gave.
-I wish I could feel as close to God at home as I do on a mission trip.

If you’ve experienced a life–changing mission trip, church camp, or retreat, you know all about the mountaintop experience. You come back, and you’re determined to keep that excitement from then on.

But like a New Year’s resolution or a goal for a new school year, eventually the excitement fades. Wouldn’t it be great if you could keep that mission-trip excitement year-round?

The truth is, if you just want to KEEP the excitement, you’ll likely be disappointed. That excitement can inspire your group to a lifetime of mission, but what you’re doing (or not doing) to prepare may be what’s killing it. So here are 5 things you need to stop doing if you want to sustain your passion for mission year-round.
