COVID-19 Update

About Impact 2021

We are currently working with hosts to assess which options will be available at each site.  We also want to ask you which options you are considering.  Those options are:

  1. An in-person, overnight camp
  2. Commuting to an Impact location and serving on a job-site daily
  3. Completing a local mission project as part of virtual camp (Impact construction leaders can help set up a local job-site, but the church would cover costs of materials)

If none of these options are feasible for your church this summer, you can also cancel your registration for this year.  If you have paid a deposit that can be refunded or transferred to 2022.

Overnight Requirements:

  • Participants in overnight camps are required to have a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of arriving at camp. Proof of vaccination is not currently required.

We will communicate protocols for each in-person option as we determine those based on current guidelines from CDC and VDH.

Does any of this sound familiar? -I’ve never bee Does any of this sound familiar?
-I’ve never been more tired, and I’ve never felt closer to God.
-I went there expecting to bless others, but I ended up receiving more than I gave.
-I wish I could feel as close to God at home as I do on a mission trip.

If you’ve experienced a life–changing mission trip, church camp, or retreat, you know all about the mountaintop experience. You come back, and you’re determined to keep that excitement from then on.

But like a New Year’s resolution or a goal for a new school year, eventually the excitement fades. Wouldn’t it be great if you could keep that mission-trip excitement year-round?

The truth is, if you just want to KEEP the excitement, you’ll likely be disappointed. That excitement can inspire your group to a lifetime of mission, but what you’re doing (or not doing) to prepare may be what’s killing it. So here are 5 things you need to stop doing if you want to sustain your passion for mission year-round.
